About us

Green Drumming Academy

Where Rhythm Meets Sustainability

Welcome to Green Drumming Academy, the educational wing of Green Drumming by BEAT'ABOX. We are Singapore's premier eco-conscious music academy, dedicated to empowering students, educators, and communities through the power of upcycled percussion.

At Green Drumming Academy, we believe that music shouldn't cost the earth. By turning everyday waste into vibrant musical instruments and junk into art, we teach our students that rhythm, creativity, and sustainability go hand in hand.

From bucket drums and cajons to shakers made from reclaimed materials, every programme blends hands-on percussion training with environmental awareness. Whether you are a beginner exploring your first beat or an educator building a school-wide rhythm curriculum, our platform gives you the tools to learn, create, and certify with purpose.

How a term runs

From first beat to certificate in four steps

01

Join a programme

Pick a track — bucket drumming, cajon, body percussion — and enrol at the level that fits you.

02

Build your instrument

Sessions start hands-on: reclaimed tins, crates and offcuts become the kit you'll play all term.

03

Learn week by week

Lessons, rhythm charts and practice routines land in your portal; mark each one done as you go.

04

Get assessed & certified

A practical evaluation closes the term, and your verifiable certificate is issued the same day.

Digital certification

Every certificate is verifiable.

Certificates auto-issue when a student meets attendance, assignment, assessment and practical evaluation thresholds. Each carries a unique number and QR code that resolves to a public validation page — anyone can verify authenticity.

My students walked in thinking they were doing a craft session and walked out playing a full groove on paint tins. The lesson plans made it easy to run week after week.

I run drum circles on weekends and never had a way to track who turned up or who was ready to move up a level. Now everything sits in one place, certificates included.

Building my own cajon and then learning to play it changed how I listen to music. I still practise with the charts from my first term.

Good to know

Questions we hear often

Do I need my own drum to start?

No. Most of our programmes begin with instruments built from reclaimed material — buckets, tins, crates. If you already own a cajon or snare, bring it along.

Who are the programmes for?

Absolute beginners through to working educators. Schools and companies can also book group programmes; every track runs across five levels so people can join where they are.

How does certification work?

Certificates are issued once attendance, assignments and a practical evaluation are met. Each one carries a unique number and QR code that resolves to a public verification page.

Can trainers run their own courses here?

Yes. Trainers get their own portal to build courses, publish lessons, manage rosters and issue certificates, with the Creator Toolbox handling the paperwork.

Is this only for Singapore?

The academy is based in Singapore, but the platform is open to trainers and students anywhere — learning, assessment and certification all happen online.
